California Girl In Taos

Taos, New Mexico is one of the most beautiful, interesting, creative and challenging places in the world. Amazing art; delicious, local, organic food and wonderful outdoor activities...skiing in the Winter; hiking, fishing, gardening and white water rafting in the Summer. I moved here on October 17th, 2012 after living the first half of my life in California...and I have never before lived in snow! Share my adventures with me...and maybe fall in love with Taos too.

Halloween in Taos

we stumbled upon the halloween festival in taos yesterday. what a hoot! the town sponsers a trick-or-treat parade where the local merchants from the plaza and john dunn shops hand out candy. it felt like the entire town turned out...and everyone had fantastic costumes.

i expected adorable children...

but was most surprised by the number of adults dressed up at 3:00 pm trick-or-treating too....everyone loves candy! (and most of the grown ups continued on to parties being held at the bars and restaurants in town)....what a night...
